We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Credit Risk Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with Saudi Central Bank regulations while assessing and quantifying the risk associated with lending activities. Your contributions will be vital to our commitment to financial stability and growth. As a Credit Risk Analyst, you will evaluate credit data and financial statements to identify potential risks, prepare detailed reports, and provide actionable insights that strengthen our risk management strategies. You will work closely with various departments, including underwriting and portfolio management, to develop risk assessment models that influence decision making processes.
Responsibilities:
Analyze credit data, financial behavior, and transactional history to evaluate the risk associated with extending BNPL credit to consumers and merchants.
Conduct deep-dive analysis on default rates, payment behavior, and credit utilization.
Perform financial statement analysis for merchant onboarding and credit line assignments.
Build and maintain credit risk models and scorecards tailored to user segments and transaction types.
Use statistical tools and data science techniques to identify high-risk patterns and automate decisioning logic.
Monitor the health of credit portfolios and track key metrics such as delinquency rates, NPL (non-performing loans), and recoveries.
Generate risk dashboards and reports for internal stakeholders and regulatory reviews.
Identify emerging risk trends and proactively recommend mitigation strategies.
Support the development and refinement of credit policies in line with internal risk appetite and SAMA regulations.
Ensure credit decisions and processes comply with local laws, data privacy, and ethical lending standards.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Statistics, Business, or a related field
2 – 4 years of experience in credit risk analysis, preferably in fintech, consumer lending, or banking
Strong analytical and quantitative skills; proficiency in Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau)
Knowledge of local regulatory environment, especially SAMA requirements for lending and credit scoring
High attention to details and accuracy
Analytical mindset with a proactive problem-solving approach
Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
Sound judgment and integrity in handling sensitive data
