Job Description

Mullenlowe has some of the most interesting clients who need to tell their stories to the social world. Come help us tell them! We’re looking for a Social Creative Director to help us take our social content to the next level. Working with an in-house team of conceptualisers, designers, content creators, copywriters, and production teams, the Social Creative Director will be responsible for developing industry-leading social-first creative across all social platforms.

This role is a player-coach position, where the ideal candidate will be able to take things from concept to final delivery, maintaining a high level of conceptual thinking while also being able to finesse the details.

Responsibilities for Creative Director Taking responsibility and ownership for the creative social philosophy and the standard of output across the agency from a social and digital perspective.

Own and drive the creative direction for all social content ensuring platform-agnostic content format innovations. Manage projects at major stages of their conception, creation, and execution.

Utilise your extensive social landscape knowledge combined with client/

brand awareness

to develop creative social ideation and conceptual creativity, not just individual social posts.

Mentor and encourage creative team members to foster a

collaborative

and creative

work environment

with social adoption at the heart of all ideas.

Contribute

hands-on

by creating high-quality social-first content, staying updated with the latest industry trends and best practices across all existing and emerging platforms from both a technical and creative perspective.

Ability to thrive in a

Participate in and provide regular opportunities for

Stay current with industry trends, emerging platforms, and new technologies to drive

innovation

in social media content.

Drive better quality content on the ground by working with content creators, videographers, and animators to improve technical standards, post-production techniques, and increase knowledge and competency of software development, such as After Effects and Adobe Premiere.

Qualifications Proven experience (5+ years) as a Creative Director or in a similar creative

leadership

role, with a focus on social media content and campaigns.

Strong portfolio showcasing creative campaigns, content, and strategies.

Strategic thinker with a deep understanding of social media trends and best practices.

Excellent verbal and written

communication skills

.

Knowledge of how to develop brand content through social-first marketing.

Good comfort level interacting with clients and industry professionals.

Evidence of participation in ongoing

professional development opportunities

in the areas of content and social media.

Hands-on experience

with building social campaigns and content.
