Cost Manager – Major Highways Project Jobs in Doha, Qatar at NSR Associates
THE ROLE
Reporting to the Project Controls Manager for the overall estimating, cost control and coordination of the project.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and manage a team of Quantity Surveyors.
- Developing and maintaining estimating and cost control and reporting standards and procedures.
- Preparation and maintenance of the project cost breakdown structure, budget and integrated cost report and cash flow.
- Establishment and maintenance of a program cost benchmarking database.
- Analysing and reporting on Consultants and Contractors cost reports and cash flows.
- Preparation of monthly and weekly reports.
- Preparing and making presentations.
QUALIFICATIONS
- BSc in related subject or equivalent experience.
- MRICS or equivalent.
- 10 years post graduate experience.
- Sound knowledge of all engineering and commercial aspects of major civil and infrastructure projects including roads, bridges and utilities.
- Experience in conceptual estimating, cost planning, financial accounting, expenditure profiling, cost reporting and forecasting costs at completion.
- Ability effectively monitor and analyse cost, identify trends and recommend corrective actions.
- Experienced user of MS Office, advanced MS Excel user and Primavera Contracts Manager.
- Excellent report writing skills.
- Previous experience in the Middle East is an advantage.
