Cost Manager – Major Highways Project Jobs in Doha, Qatar at NSR Associates

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Project Controls Manager for the overall estimating, cost control and coordination of the project.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and manage a team of Quantity Surveyors.
  • Developing and maintaining estimating and cost control and reporting standards and procedures.
  • Preparation and maintenance of the project cost breakdown structure, budget and integrated cost report and cash flow.
  • Establishment and maintenance of a program cost benchmarking database.
  • Analysing and reporting on Consultants and Contractors cost reports and cash flows.
  • Preparation of monthly and weekly reports.
  • Preparing and making presentations.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • BSc in related subject or equivalent experience.
  • MRICS or equivalent.
  • 10 years post graduate experience.
  • Sound knowledge of all engineering and commercial aspects of major civil and infrastructure projects including roads, bridges and utilities.
  • Experience in conceptual estimating, cost planning, financial accounting, expenditure profiling, cost reporting and forecasting costs at completion.
  • Ability effectively monitor and analyse cost, identify trends and recommend corrective actions.
  • Experienced user of MS Office, advanced MS Excel user and Primavera Contracts Manager.
  • Excellent report writing skills.
  • Previous experience in the Middle East is an advantage.
