Cost Controller –Food & Beverage (F&B) or Hospitality Experience
W*e are seeking a highly organized and analytical Cost Controller* to join our growing team. This role is responsible for monitoring food and beverage costs, inventory accuracy, purchasing controls, and overall cost efficiency across multiple outlets.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly food and beverage costs.
- Prepare accurate recipe costing and menu profitability analysis.
- Conduct inventory audits and stock reconciliations for cafés, central kitchen, and warehouses.
- Investigate inventory variances, wastage, and stock discrepancies, and recommend corrective actions.
- Review purchase orders, supplier invoices, and goods received to ensure pricing accuracy and cost compliance.
- Monitor yield, portion control, and recipe adherence to minimize waste and maximize profitability.
- Generate cost control reports, variance analyses, and management reports.
- Work closely with Operations, Procurement, Finance, Warehouse, and Kitchen teams to improve cost performance.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and month-end inventory closing.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and inventory management procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience as a Cost Controller in the Specialty Coffee or Food & Beverage (F&B) industry.
- Experience in multi-outlet cafés, restaurants, central kitchens, or hospitality operations is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of:
- Food & beverage costing
- Recipe costing and menu engineering
- Inventory management and stock control
- Cost variance analysis
- Purchasing procedures and supplier price monitoring
- Waste reduction and yield analysis
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, reporting).
- Experience with ERP or POS systems (such as Odoo, SAP, Oracle, or similar) is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and maintain a high level of accuracy.
Mandatory Requirements
- Valid Qatar Driving License (Required).
- Candidates may apply from within or outside Qatar.
- Overseas applicants must have previous work experience in Qatar and hold a valid Qatar Driving License.
- Immediate joiners or candidates with short notice periods are preferred.
