Your Department
The Solution Engineering department develops winning commercial proposals in close cooperation with Sales Management during the sales phase and implements these solutions with the Project Execution department. The department comprises diverse expertise to design, sell, and execute total solutions for customers, aiming for seamless integration within one team.
Your Position
As Controls Project Engineer – APS Solution Engineering ME, you will collaborate with Project Leaders, Integration Managers, Mechanical and Electrical Engineers within a multidisciplinary team. Your role involves managing technical control solutions, supporting sales during bid and contract phases, and ensuring successful project completion in an international environment.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Design and program PLC controls for material handling systems in airports and parcel domains, ensuring high quality standards.
Develop Functional Specifications in collaboration with project teams during engineering phases.
Handle detailed design, programming, and testing of PLC software.
Commission systems onsite, perform functional testing, and integrate PLC software into overall control systems.
Support customer acceptance testing and monitor project budgets and schedules, taking corrective actions as necessary.
Your Profile
Technical degree (Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Industrial Automation, Computer Science, or Control Technology) at bachelor level or higher.
Experience in material handling domain is advantageous.
Minimum 8 years in project engineering, including system integration, solution design, and project delivery.
Knowledge of design practices, system development lifecycle, and qualification requirements.
Proficiency in developing PLC applications (TIA Portal, Siemens S7 series, Allen Bradley or other platforms is a plus).
Knowledge of SCADA applications (WinCC, Web Factory, etc.) and safety system programming (e.g., Siemens safety PLC).
Familiarity with fieldbus technologies like Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet, AS-I, CC-Link.
Strong communication skills, experience with project management tools, and ability to work with diverse, global teams.
Analytical, proactive, flexible, pragmatic, and hands-on attitude.
Excellent command of English, both verbal and written.
