Controls Deployment & Service (CDS) Engineers support data center automation systems such as Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS). Responsibilities include deploying and servicing these systems to ensure data center health, overseeing deployments during new builds or upgrades, and providing local and global support. Collaboration with various teams and vendors is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Deploy data center controls on schedule, managing vendors to minimize defects during Power and Facilities Handover (PFHO)
Deliver projects to upgrade automation systems
Provide support and diagnostics for operational events impacting visibility, resilience, or critical incidents
Meet predefined SLAs for tasks
Implement initiatives to improve data center efficiency
Candidate must hold or be able to attain an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency clearance.

Engage directly in data center deployment, building relationships across teams and stakeholders

About the Team
The Data Center Capacity Delivery Asia-Pacific Controls Deployment and Service (DCCD APAC CDS) team ensures the health of AWS data centers across six domains including deployment, project management, service, colo, support, and management. Success involves continuous evolution and innovation in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications
Experience in control system integration, control theory, PLC/SCADA programming, and electrical diagrams
Experience with control systems in critical environments like data centers or similar
Knowledge of control architecture, installation, and procurement
Technical expertise in BMS, EPMS, or industrial protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, LON
Bachelor’s in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field; project management certifications are a plus
