JOB SCOPE:
Oversees the development, implementation, and maintenance of all accounting processes and policies within the function. Acts as a key advisor to Finance personnel and provides guidance, leadership, and direction to direct reports and the broader finance team.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
1. Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting processes.
2. Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls and ensure compliance with internal and external financial and accounting standards.
3. Manage all accounting operations, including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, cost accounting, inventory accounting, and revenue recognition. Oversee the maintenance and updating of the company’s financial models.
4. Prepare and publish timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
5. Conduct research on technical accounting issues to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
6. Develop and maintain accurate financial statements and management reports, in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) or IFRS, as appropriate.
7. Prepare all supporting information and schedules for the annual audit in coordination with external auditors.
8. Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation supporting all financial transactions.
9. Develop and maintain robust financial accounting systems for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and petty cash management.
10. Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing finance team to achieve departmental objectives, implement best practices, and drive continuous improvement.
11. Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
1. EDUCATION:
A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent is required. A Master’s degree in MBA, Accounting or equivalent is required.
2. EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of 12 years of related experience is required.
3. LANGUAGE:
Excellent command of oral and written English is required.
4. Preferred Training and Certificates:
CPA, CMA, CA, CFA, or equivalent are highly preferred.
