Job description:
Job Purpose
To manage and oversee the operations of the security control room, ensuring effective monitoring, incident response, and coordination of security personnel to maintain safety and protect assets.
Key Accountability Areas
Control Room Operations
- Supervise day-to-day operations of the security control room to ensure effective and uninterrupted functioning.
- Supervise and ensure that all security systems, including CCTV, alarms, and access control, are fully operational and properly maintained.
Monitoring & Surveillance
- Supervise continuous real-time monitoring of all secured premises and sensitive areas.
- Ensure prompt and appropriate response to security alerts, incidents, or potential breaches.
Incident Management
- Supervise and coordinate security response teams during emergencies or critical situations.
- Ensure accurate, detailed, and timely documentation of all security incidents and actions taken.
Team Leadership
- Assign duties and responsibilities to control room operators based on operational requirements.
- Supervise team performance and provide guidance, coaching, and training on security procedures and protocols.
Communication and Coordination
- Act as the primary communication link between control room staff, security personnel, management, and external emergency services.
- Ensure clear and effective information flow during both routine operations and emergency situations.
Compliance and Governance
- Ensure all control room activities adhere to company security policies, procedures, and applicable local regulations.
- Identify and report any non-compliance or security risks to relevant stakeholders.
Reporting and Documentation
- Prepare and submit comprehensive daily, weekly, and monthly reports on control room operations, incidents, and performance.
- Maintain well-organized records to support audits, investigations, and management reviews.
Role Accountability

- Ability to recruit, recognize and cultivate high performers and expose them in order to create a robust second line of management.
- Ability to recognize low performers and guide them to improve or release them.
- Ability to treat subordinates equally without any discrimination.
- Assessment criteria of subordinates is performance that leads to planned results.
- Ensure availability of delegation of authority matrix to have sufficient delegations as per company policy.

- Must take full responsibility for his operation as per the job description and the required deliverables from this position, taking into consideration the general company guidelines.

- Monitor the plan performance and initiate action to strengthen results and take the corrective action accordingly.
- Provide periodic work progress reports.
- Responsible for monitoring and controlling budgets and expenses to achieve the optimum cost efficiency.
Organizational Development:
- Develop the organizational structure according to the current requirements taking into consideration future and development plans.
- Ensure availability of job descriptions for all job roles and deployment.
Business Process Improvements:
- Develop, coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, procedures, and seek automations opportunities as much as possible.
- Should be conversant and able to navigate through IT solutions especially those relevant to his job and business.
- Promote the automated systems and using them fully, to spread its culture.
Quality:
