Contracts and Commercial Manager Jobs in Doha, Qatar at IMAR
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Reviewing the works executed by CA/CE prior to final submission to Group Contract/Commercial Manager (GCCM).
Reviewing all contracts/agreements/amendments/tenders and conditions received from the upstream/employer.
Preparation of extension of time and additional cost claims to the main contractors/employers.
Assisting GCCM in the preparation of all business-related agreements, such as Joint Venture (JV), Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), Distribution, Consortium, Pre-bid Agreement, Final Settlement agreement, etc.
Preparation of contractual-related correspondences to main contractors/employers.
Providing contractual support to various departments as required.
Conducting/attending necessary meetings, discussions, and negotiations with contractors or subcontractors to resolve contractual disputes or claims.
Assisting/supporting the commercial team in variation/claim submissions related to contractual issues/entitlements.
Checking and submitting to the accounts department all information required for project guarantees (Performance and Advance Payment Guarantees) and monitoring the expiry of guarantees submitted by subcontractors.
Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Building Construction or Quantity Surveying.
Excellent command of English language and knowledge of technical terminology are essential.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in a related field.
Highly motivated, computer-literate, and able to work independently.
Demonstrates a high degree of drive and initiative, as work is largely unsupervised and demanding.
Willingness to work beyond normal hours, including weekends, as necessary.
Pleasant, creative, self-motivated, with the initiative to enhance the office environment.
