Job Purpose:
The Contract Officer plays a vital role in handling daily contract requests within the Legal Department by drafting, reviewing, and finalizing contracts. This position ensures compliance with legal and contractual requirements while supporting key business functions such as procurement and supply chain.
Key Responsibilities:
Contract Management:
Review and provide feedback on Contract Request Forms (RFC) and other contract-related documents.
Manage the contract lifecycle, from receiving the RFC package to closing the contract request.
Draft, review, and finalize various types of contracts to ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
Provide legal opinions on contracts as required.
Documentation & Compliance:
Organize and maintain contract records and related documents in the company’s system.
Ensure timely submission of reports related to contract progress and assigned tasks.
Monitor and maintain accurate, up-to-date records of each contract’s status.
Ensure that valid Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) are in place for all third-party business dealings.
Collaboration & Coordination:
Work closely with procurement, supply chain, and relevant departments to ensure contract requirements are met.
Collaborate with the legal department to finalize contracts efficiently and in compliance with company policies.
Compare primary contracts with clients to service provider contracts, ensuring alignment in contractual and financial aspects.
Risk & Performance Monitoring:
Provide reports on the contractual and financial performance of service providers before contract expiration.
Document legal and contractual issues that arise during the contract duration and present solutions to the line manager.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
Fresh graduate or up to 1 year of experience in contract management, legal support, or a related field.
Basic understanding of contract drafting, legal terms, and FM industry regulations (preferred but not required).
Strong attention to detail, analytical, and organizational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and contract management systems (if applicable).
