Contract Management

Provide contractual advice for the Originating Function and support the preparation of contractual correspondence with contractors and bidders.

Support the Originating Function during the tender process by reviewing bid documents and verifying the acceptance of bid bonds, performance guarantees, and other contractual guarantees.

Review and maintain standard contract forms and standard bid documents, proposing improvements based on actual work experience and following up with the CEO Office Senior Lead for updates.

Assist the CEO Office Senior Lead in establishing contractor performance policies and closing out contractual matters upon service or project completion.

Maintain and review both computerized and manual records (contract logs and contract files).

Consult with lawyers and handle the Company’s legal affairs, including various contracts and litigation.

Handle all agreements with Shareholders, Host Governments, and Company Offshore entities including Concession Agreements, Operation Service Agreements, and Back‑up Service Agreements in consultation with the CEO Office Senior Lead.

Assist in developing policies related to contract management.

Assess risks in contracts and propose mitigation strategies.

Legal Compliance

Ensure legal compliance by reviewing contracts to confirm adherence to applicable laws and regulations.

Maintain contact with the Legal Counsel and the Company’s Secretary to stay updated on UAE and UK law and regulation changes, implementing requirements in consultation with the CEO Office Senior Lead.

Prepare standard contracts and consult on legal and/or contractual matters with other Functions.

Quality, Health, Safety & Environment

Ensure compliance with all relevant quality, health, safety, and environmental management policies, procedures, and controls across the Contract Section, guaranteeing employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high‑quality products/services, and a responsible environmental attitude.

Coordination & Reporting

Complete ad‑hoc assignments requested by the CEO Office Senior Lead.

Coordinate Tender Committee meetings (TENDC) and liaise with TENDC members to obtain approval on the bidders list, opening technical proposal, technical evaluation report, opening commercial proposal, and awarding of the successful bidder—acting as secretary of TENDC when requested by the originating unit.

Continuous Improvement

Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of the CEO Office systems, processes, and practices, considering international best practice, cost reduction, and productivity improvement.

Reporting

Prepare timely and accurately departmental reports to meet company and department requirements, policies, and standards.

Prepare monthly reports for Management’s review in coordination with the CEO Senior Lead.

Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or an equivalent degree in Law.

Experience

  • Preferred: 10 years of experience in contract management.
  • Required:

    8 years of experience managing contracts in the oil or related industries with a legal background.

Technical Skills

  • Excellent communication, teamwork, negotiation, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
  • Good knowledge of contract law, indemnity, liability, and insurance provisions.
  • Proficiency in drafting, reviewing, and editing contracts clearly and accurately.
  • Ability to analyse contract data and metrics to inform decisions.
  • Ability to identify and assess risks within contracts.
  • Ability to conduct research on best practices and industry standards.

Office‑Based

Good communication skills and fluency in English.

Strong candidates from Arabic nationalities will be preferred.
