The Role
A leading healthcare provider in the UAE is seeking a Consultant Pediatric Intensivist to join its Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). The role offers the opportunity to manage critically ill pediatric patients within a highly collaborative environment supported by advanced critical care facilities.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will provide specialist intensive care management for critically ill infants and children while collaborating closely with pediatric subspecialists, anesthesiologists, surgeons, and emergency physicians.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and manage critically ill pediatric patients requiring intensive care.
- Lead the diagnosis, stabilization, and treatment of complex pediatric emergencies.
- Perform and supervise critical care procedures within the scope of practice.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary care and communicate effectively with families.
- Participate in quality improvement, patient safety initiatives, and clinical governance.
- Ensure compliance with UAE healthcare regulations and international clinical standards.
Requirements
Applications are welcome from internationally trained Consultants holding a recognized specialist qualification in the relevant specialty from countries recognized under the UAE Professional Qualification Requirements (PQR), including but not limited to the USA, UK, Europe, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, India, the Middle East, Africa, and South America.
Candidates must be eligible for UAE licensing and meet the credentialing requirements of the hiring healthcare facility.
