YOUR ROLE
As Construction Manager – Fabrication you will
- Manage and supervise all fabrication yard activities for Oil & Gas EPC projects.
- Lead multidisciplinary construction teams to achieve project milestones and productivity targets.
- Ensure compliance with HSE policies, project specifications, applicable codes, and industry standards.
- Monitor fabrication progress, identify potential delays, and implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, QA/QC, Planning, and Client representatives to ensure smooth project execution.
- Review construction methodologies, work schedules, and resource allocation plans.
- Oversee subcontractor performance and ensure contractual compliance.
- Ensure quality requirements are met during fabrication, assembly, welding, and structural activities.
- Prepare and present project progress reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, productivity, and safety performance.
WHAT WE’R LOOKING FOR Education / Certifications / Licenses
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
- Professional certifications are an advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 12-18 years of experience in construction and fabrication within the Oil & Gas, Energy, Petrochemical, or EPC industry.
- At least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role overseeing fabrication yards or modular construction projects.
- Proven experience managing structural steel, piping, pressure vessels, and modular fabrication activities.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong understanding of fabrication processes, welding standards, and construction methodologies.
- Familiarity with international standards such as ASME, API, AWS, and ISO requirements.
- Strong project planning, scheduling, and cost-control capabilities.
- Ability to manage large work forces and multiple subcontractors simultaneously.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Problem-solving mindset with a focus on project delivery and operational excellence.
