Position: Construction Lead (Cables, MEG u0026 BVS)
What are you going to do
Serve as the focal point at the site for promoting and implementing safety measures on the construction site, including safety observations reporting and monitoring.
Assist the Pipeline Project Head of Onshore Construction in executing project responsibilities for the Pipelines & Cable onshore scope of work.
Manage the onshore construction scope and liaise with contractors’ counterparts to ensure targets are met as defined by the project.
Establish and support proactive, collaborative working relationships with contractors and third-party organizations to achieve project objectives.
Supervise all construction activities, including liftings, to ensure technical objectives are met within scope, budget, and schedule.
Coordinate site activities for pipelines & cables and provide technical support to contractors, focusing on quality, safety, planning, and engineering to achieve Mechanical Acceptance of Construction scope, including pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
Review EPCI Contractor documentation related to onshore construction and participate in constructability reviews, HAZID/HAZOP, and similar workshops during the EPCI phase.
Supervise construction inputs into gate deliverables and oversee site implementation.
Review and approve Contractor’s onshore construction documents, shore pull, cable landing, and other submittals in accordance with EPC contract requirements.
Review and propose mitigation strategies for construction-related risks and monitor their implementation. Review construction changes, including justifications for cost and schedule impacts, following PMOC procedures.
Essential skills and knowledge
Bachelor’s degree in sciences or engineering.
At least 8 years of experience in large-scale construction projects within the Oil & Gas Industry, including 1 year in a supervisory or oversight role.
Experience with Oil and Gas companies, contractors, service companies, or heavy construction firms, with broad knowledge of design standards, specifications, codes, and safety criteria related to fabrication, transport, installation, and hook-up.
Knowledge of offshore and onshore facilities, yard operations, and related project scopes.
Experience working in large operational organizations, including project management and subsurface disciplines.
Ability to work effectively with diverse cultural backgrounds.
Worldwide experience with contractors involved in offshore LNG production facilities construction.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, emphasizing teamwork and effective interaction within the project management team.
