Job Description
Your Day to Day
As a Commis Chef, you will work closely with experienced chefs to assist in the preparation and cooking of high-quality dishes across ourdiversekitchens. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for food and hospitality, looking to expand their knowledge and skills in a world-class setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation and cooking of food in accordance with the menu and kitchen standards.
Ensure that food is prepared in a safe, clean, and organized environment.
Follow instructions from senior kitchen staff and help with the day-to-day operation of the kitchen.
Ensure high standards offood presentationand taste.
Help maintain inventory levels and monitor the freshness of ingredients.
Adhere to allfood safetyand hygiene guidelines, ensuring asafe working environment.
Assist with the setup and breakdown of kitchen stations and equipment.
Support the team in maintaining a smooth and efficient kitchen service.
What We Need From You
Ideally, you’ll have some or all of the following competencies and experience we’re looking for:
Previous experience in a kitchen environment is an advantage, but not essential.
A passion for cooking and an eagerness to learn and developculinary skills.
Basic knowledge offood safetyand hygiene practices.
Strong work ethicwithattention to detailand the ability to work well under pressure.
Excellentcommunication skillsand the ability to work as part of a team.
Flexibilityand willingness to work in various kitchen stations.
A professional culinary qualification is preferred but not required.
