About the Opportunity:
Our client, a well-known and respected façade engineering company in the UAE, is seeking an experienced Contract & Commercial Manager to oversee all contractual, commercial, and financial aspects of their projects. Based in Dubai, this is a critical
leadership
role responsible for managing contracts, mitigating risks, optimizing project profitability, and ensuring compliance with both client and subcontractor agreements.
The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in contract management, commercial strategy, and a solid understanding of façade or construction projects within the GCC region.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the management of all contractual and commercial activities across multiple façade projects.
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Identify, assess, and mitigate contractual risks throughout the project lifecycle.
Oversee project budgets, cost control,
cash flow management
, and financial reporting.
Manage claims, variations, extensions of time (EOT), and dispute resolution processes.
Ensure compliance with UAE legal frameworks, industry standards, and company policies.
Collaborate with project managers, procurement, finance, and legal teams to ensure seamless commercial operations.
Provide strategic advice to
senior management
on contract
optimization
and commercial performance.
Monitor and improve commercial processes to enhance profitability and operational efficiency.
Qualifications &
Experience:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Law, Civil Engineering, or related field. (RICS accreditation or a Master’s in Construction Law is a plus.)
Experience:
Minimum 10+ years of experience in contract and commercial management within the façade, construction, or engineering sectors.
Strong background in GCC contracts (FIDIC, bespoke contracts) and regional commercial practices.
Proven track record
handling complex projects, claims management, and contract negotiations.
Skills:
Excellent negotiation, analytical, and risk management skills.
Strong financial acumen and understanding of project cost control.
Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders in a
fast-paced environment
.
Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems, and contract management tools.
