We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a market leading private Quantity Surveying Consultancy operating in the ever beautiful Doha, Qatar.
You will be working within a talented team of Quantity Surveyors performing pre and post contractual duties on behalf of the clients on a variety of exciting major projects ranging from luxury residential towers to sports and hospitality.
Responsibilities and Duties
Viability and feasibility studies
Proactive cost planning and cost estimating
Effective procurement and supply chain management
Benchmarking and data analysis
Bills of Quantities production
Tendering and contract award
Risk analysis and risk management
Interim valuations
Cost control and change management
Final Account re-measurement and negotiation
Value engineering and option cost studies
Interfacing with the client, contractors and other consultants
Desired Skills and Experience
Candidates must have a BSc in Quantity Surveying from an accredited University
A previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor and preferably gained with a PQS / Cost consultancy but must be gained in the UK or Europe.
MRICS (or working towards MRICS) would be an advantage, however not essential
Strong client-facing skills and experience
Experience working in the GCC / Middle East is NOT essential
