Gulf Fruit Trade LLC, a prominent player in the Fruits and Vegetables trading sector in the UAE, is currently seeking a Import Incharge (Fresh Fruits & Vegetables) with previous experience in the Food and Beverage industry or relevant industry.
Job Description:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring seamless imports by managing vendor relations, logistics, customs compliance, and cost optimization and to handle the international sourcing and import operations of fresh fruits and vegetables.
Key Responsibilities:
Import Operations & Procurement
Plan and execute the import of fresh fruits and vegetables from various countries.
Identify and negotiate with global suppliers to secure quality produce at competitive prices.
Ensure timely procurement to maintain a steady supply and minimize wastage.
Vendor & Supplier Management
Develop and manage relationships with international suppliers, growers, and exporters.
Evaluate supplier performance based on product quality, pricing, and delivery timelines.
Source new suppliers to diversify product range and improve sourcing efficiency.
Customs & Regulatory Compliance
Ensure compliance with import regulations, including other government policies.
Work with customs brokers and clearing agents for smooth customs clearance.
Manage import documentation such as phytosanitary certificates, bills of lading, and import permits.
Logistics & Supply Chain Coordination
Coordinate with shipping companies, freight forwarders, and transporters for timely product delivery.
Monitor cold chain logistics to maintain freshness and quality of perishable goods.
Optimize freight costs and minimize delays in shipments.
Quality Control & Inventory Management
Ensure all imported fruits and vegetables meet quality and safety standards.
Work closely with the warehouse team to manage inventory levels effectively.
Implement quality checks upon arrival to prevent losses due to spoilage or damage.
Cost & Risk Management
Analyze market trends and currency fluctuations to make cost-effective purchasing decisions.
Manage import costs, duties, and taxes to optimize pricing. Mitigate risks related to seasonality, supplier reliability, and logistics challenges.

Pay: Up to AED6,000.00 per month
