About this opportunity
As a Cloud Infra Engineer, you will play a critical role in deploying, configuring, and maintaining a robust cloud environment. This position requires a strong understanding of cloud computing and Open Stack technologies, with an emphasis on automation, monitoring, and security best practices. You will work closely with development and operations teams to support application deployment and ensure optimal cloud performance.
What you will do
Install and configure Open Stack components and services to create a functional cloud environment.
Perform regular maintenance, updates, and upgrades to Open Stack services and underlying infrastructure.
Implement monitoring solutions to track the health of the cloud environment, diagnose issues, and resolve them efficiently.
Develop and manage automation scripts for deployment, configuration, and monitoring tasks using tools like Ansible.
Implement security best practices, including access control, network security, and compliance with relevant standards.
Monitor resource utilization and plan for scaling the cloud infrastructure to meet growing demands.
Maintain clear documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures to support knowledge sharing.
Work closely with development and operations teams to support application deployment and integration within the cloud environment.
Provide support to users and developers in utilizing cloud resources effectively and troubleshooting their issues.
Stay updated on new technologies and practices in cloud computing and Open Stack to continuously improve the environment.
You will bring
A relevant degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in cloud computing, Open Stack.
Strong knowledge of Linux systems and shell scripting.
Experience with automation tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
Familiarity with network security principles and best practices.
Good programming skills in languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Go.
Problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
A proactive approach to staying updated on industry trends and emerging technologies.
