Job Description:
We are seeking a talented Cloud Native Engineer with a focus on on-prem Cloud infrastructure, particularly experienced with the Open Shift flavor of Kubernetes. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud-native infrastructure to support our growing portfolio of applications and services based on the micro-services architecture.
Responsibilities:
Design, deploy, and manage highly available and scalable cloud-native infrastructure based on Open Shift Kubernetes in an on-prem environment.
Collaborate with
cross-functional teams
to understand application requirements and architect solutions that meet performance, security, and compliance standards.
Develop automation scripts and tools to streamline deployment, configuration, and monitoring processes.
Perform capacity planning and
optimization
to ensure efficient
resource utilization
and cost-effectiveness.
Implement best practices for security, identity management, and access control within the Kubernetes cluster.
Monitor system health, performance, and reliability, and proactively address issues to maintain high availability and uptime.
Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related incidents, working closely with support teams and vendors as needed.
Stay
up-to-date
with emerging technologies and industry trends in cloud-native infrastructure, Kubernetes, and Dev Ops practices.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Proven experience as a Cloud Native Engineer or similar role, with a focus on on-prem cloud infrastructure.
Hands-on experience
with Open Shift Kubernetes, including deployment, configuration, and administration.
Proficiency in scripting and automation using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or similar.
Strong understanding of networking concepts, storage systems, and virtualization technologies.
Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Podman) and microservices architecture.
Experience with
monitoring and logging tools such as Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with
cloud-native CI/CD pipelines and tools (Jenkins, Git Lab CI, ArgoCD, etc.).Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid cloud architectures.
Familiarity with container security best practices and compliance standards (e.g., CIS benchmarks).Seniority level
