Role Description
The Clinical Psychologist will provide psychological assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based interventions for individuals experiencing a range of mental health concerns. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting clinical interviews, administering and interpreting psychological tests, developing treatment plans, and delivering individual and group counseling services. The role involves close collaboration with medical and allied health professionals, participation in multidisciplinary case discussions, and contribution to clinical documentation and reports.
The Clinical Psychologist will also offer clinical supervision and guidance to junior staff or trainees as needed and support mental health education initiatives within the centre. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Psychology and applied Counseling Psychology for assessment, diagnosis, and therapeutic interventions.
- Competence in Psychological Testing, including administration, scoring, and interpretation of standardized assessment tools.
- Experience in Mental Health care, including managing a diverse caseload and working with a range of psychological conditions.
- Ability to provide Clinical Supervision, mentoring, and professional support to junior clinicians or trainees.
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
- Eligibility for licensure or registration as a Clinical Psychologist in the United Arab Emirates, or ability to obtain it within a defined timeframe.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to ethical practice, cultural sensitivity, and ongoing professional development.
- Experience in medical or primary care settings is an advantage.
