Job Summary:
As a Commis 1, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and execution of dishes under the guidance of senior kitchen staff. You will ensure that food quality and hygiene standards are always maintained while contributing to a smooth kitchen operation.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes as per company standards.
Ensure food is prepared in a timely manner while maintaining high quality and consistency.
Follow recipes and instructions provided by the Head Chef or Sous Chef.
Always maintain a clean and organized workstation.
Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations, including proper food handling and storage.
Monitor food stock levels and communicate any shortages to the Head Chef.
Support kitchen operations during busy periods and assist in other kitchen duties as needed.
Participate in training and development programs to enhance culinary skills.
Ensure compliance with company policies and kitchen procedures.
Requirements:
Previous experience in a similar role or relevant culinary education.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure.
Strong attention to detail and a passion for cooking.
Good teamwork and communication skills.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
