The Housekeeping Cleaner is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment throughout the medical center. The role ensures that all patient areas, treatment rooms, offices, and public spaces meet the highest standards of cleanliness and infection control in accordance with healthcare regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and disinfect consultation rooms, treatment rooms, patient areas, and waiting areas.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust all assigned areas.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms regularly and replenish hygiene supplies.
- Empty waste bins and dispose of medical and general waste according to clinic policies.
- Clean glass doors, windows, furniture, and fixtures.
- Refill soap dispensers, tissue boxes, and hand sanitizers.
- Ensure cleaning equipment and supplies are properly maintained.
- Follow infection prevention and control protocols at all times.
- Report maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards to the supervisor.
- Assist with deep cleaning during scheduled maintenance.
- Maintain a professional appearance and provide courteous assistance to patients and visitors when required.
Requirements:
- High school education is preferred.
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience in a clinic, hospital, or healthcare facility is an advantage.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and infection control practices.
- Physically fit and able to stand, bend, lift, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks.
- Good communication skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends if required.
