Civil Supervisor Jobs in Abu Dhabi at PMD
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and manage all civil construction activities on-site, ensuring the project progresses smoothly and safely.
Oversee daily site operations, including excavation, foundation work, structural elements, concrete works, earthworks, and other civil construction activities.
Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and environmental policies, and provide leadership in maintaining safety on-site.
Monitor and control the quality of work in accordance with approved standards and specifications.
Review and interpret project drawings, specifications, and construction schedules.
Coordinate with other disciplines (e.g., electrical, mechanical) to ensure that civil works align with overall project requirements.
Manage subcontractors and ensure that the work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Provide daily progress reports, identifying any issues and offering solutions to prevent delays.
Participate in meetings to discuss progress, technical issues, and project changes.
Ensure compliance with the required project documentation, including maintaining and verifying records of work completed, material approvals, and safety inspections.
Train and mentor junior site engineers and construction workers as required.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Civil Supervisor in the Oil & Gas sector (minimum of 3 years of experience).
Strong technical knowledge and practical experience with civil construction in an industrial or heavy-duty environment.
Familiarity with relevant codes, safety standards, and industry regulations.
Experience with site safety management and risk assessment.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to read and understand construction drawings, project specifications, and related documents.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
Relevant certifications in construction, safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH), and project management.
Experience with oil & gas projects such as pipeline construction, refinery, offshore/onshore installations, or similar large-scale infrastructure projects.
