Job Responsibilities
Coordinating construction work according to priorities and plans. Timely
communication
and follow up with Site Engineer/Project Manager for requirements and smooth operation of site. Producing schedules and monitoring attendance of crew. Allocating general and daily responsibilities. Overseeing materials usage and its handling to prevent damages and loss; if any discrepancies are found, direct penalties to prevent such activities in the future.
Supervising and training workers and tradespeople. Recommending
innovative
ideas to execute works in a cost-effective manner while adhering to prescribed specifications and agreements. Ensuring manpower and resources are adequate. Guaranteeing all safety precautions and quality standards are met. Supervising the use of machinery and equipment. Monitoring expenditure and ensuring it remains within budget. Resolving problems when they arise. Reporting on progress to managers, engineers, etc.
Desired Candidate Profile
Diploma in Civil Engineering.  7-10 years  proven experience as a civil foreman, with good technical knowledge and an analytical mind to resolve problems. Proficient in MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint. In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and OSH guidelines. Ability to work effectively under stressful situations and familiarity with construction and civil maintenance environments. Ability to read drawings, plans, and blueprints.
Excellent organizational and
leadership
skills. Ability to communicate and report effectively. Strong
problem-solving
