Job Description:
VX Studio Consultancy is seeking an experienced Resident Engineer to join our team for high-rise construction projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in managing and overseeing construction activities for complex high-rise structures, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest quality standards, within the defined timelines, and in compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage daily site activities for high-rise construction projects, ensuring that all work is carried out according to design specifications, local codes, and safety regulations.
Coordinate with project managers, architects, and contractors to ensure smooth project execution.
Monitor and enforce adherence to the project schedule, resolving any issues that may impact timelines.
Perform inspections and quality control checks on-site, ensuring that all construction work meets the approved plans and specifications.
Report and document project progress, issues, and resolutions to senior management and clients.
Ensure that all necessary permits and approvals are obtained and maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
Address any on-site engineering challenges, offering solutions to keep the project moving forward.
Provide technical guidance to contractors and subcontractors to ensure that work is carried out efficiently and to the required standards.
Act as the primary point of contact for all on-site project-related engineering matters.
Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum 20 years of experience in a Resident Engineer role within high-rise construction projects.
Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale high-rise projects.
In-depth knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and industry standards.
Strong understanding of project management principles and practices.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
Professional certification (e.g., PMP, PE) is a plus.
