Position: Civil Engineer ( Roads & Bridges)
About the role:
Support the Resident Engineer in managing daily construction activities on-site, with hands-on experience in major roads, utilities, and traffic management projects.
Ensure contractor compliance with construction documents and regulations.
Assist in reviewing contractor submissions such as shop drawings, materials, and RFIs.
Provide on-site direction and guidance for construction activities.
Supervise site inspection staff as directed by the Resident Engineer/ARE.
Measure and assess work completed on-site.
Enforce safety standards and practices on-site.
Report project updates and issues to the Resident Engineer/ARE.
Monitor contractor resource allocation and workforce productivity.
Assist in preparing and reviewing project close-out documentation.
Participate in health and safety initiatives as required.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
Experience in roads, bridges, and infrastructure is essential.
Experience with dry and wet utilities.
Over 7 years of experience in roads and infrastructure projects.
Prior experience in construction supervision or operation and maintenance of roads, bridges, and infrastructure in the UAE/GCC.
Proficient in computer use, data access, record keeping, and report generation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Strong technical writing abilities.
