Civil Engineer (Building contracting/ DM approved UL) Jobs in Dubai at PFC Group
We are looking for an experienced Civil Engineer with 10–12 years of experience in building contracting and construction projects in the UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing civil construction activities, coordinating with consultants and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with approved drawings and specifications, and supporting the successful completion of projects.
The candidate must have a valid Dubai Municipality (DM) Unlimited Civil Engineer License and strong experience in building construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise day-to-day civil construction activities at project sites.
- Ensure construction work is carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project requirements.
- Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders.
- Review and interpret architectural, structural, and civil drawings.
- Monitor project progress, quality, materials, manpower, and workmanship.
- Ensure that construction activities comply with Dubai Municipality requirements and applicable UAE regulations.
- Coordinate with Dubai Municipality and other relevant authorities for inspections, approvals, and project requirements.
- Conduct regular site inspections and identify construction issues, delays, and technical problems.
- Coordinate inspections and ensure works are completed and approved as per project specifications.
- Monitor subcontractors and ensure work is completed according to the approved program and quality standards.
- Assist in planning construction activities, manpower, materials, and equipment requirements.
- Prepare and review technical reports, site records, progress updates, and other project documentation.
- Ensure proper implementation of quality control and health and safety requirements.
- Resolve technical and site-related issues in coordination with consultants and management.
- Participate in project meetings and provide technical input when required.
- Support project management in achieving project timelines, quality standards, and cost objectives.
- Ensure proper handover and completion of civil works and associated documentation.
Mandatory Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
- 10–12 years of experience in building contracting/construction.
- Valid Dubai Municipality (DM) Unlimited Civil Engineer License – Mandatory.
- Valid UAE Society of Engineers (SOE) membership/certificate.
- Valid UAE Driving License.
- Strong experience in building construction projects.
- Good knowledge of Dubai Municipality procedures, requirements, and approvals.
- Good knowledge of construction methods, structural works, finishing works, and site execution.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering and construction drawings.
- Strong leadership, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple site activities effectively.
Preferred Experience
Candidates with experience in UAE building contracting companies, particularly those who have managed projects from construction through completion and authority approvals, will be preferred.
