Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Civil Engineer role based in Dubai. The Civil Engineer will oversee and coordinate day-to-day site activities, including supervising construction works, monitoring progress, and ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and local codes. Responsibilities include preparing and reviewing engineering drawings, technical documents, and material submittals; assisting with design adaptations; and providing technical support to project and site teams. The role involves planning and scheduling work, conducting site inspections and quality checks, and identifying and resolving engineering or construction issues. The Civil Engineer will collaborate closely with project managers, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to support timely, cost-effective, and high-quality project delivery.
Qualifications
- Solid foundation in Civil Engineering and practical experience applying civil engineering principles on construction projects.
- Proficiency in Civil Engineering Design, including interpreting and reviewing structural, infrastructure, and architectural drawings.
- Experience in Planning project activities, sequencing work, and coordinating with site teams to meet timelines and quality targets.
- Knowledge of Stormwater Management, drainage systems, and related infrastructure design and implementation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline; professional registration or eligibility for registration is an advantage.
- Familiarity with UAE building codes, standards, and permitting processes, particularly within Dubai.
- Ability to use engineering and design software (e.g., AutoCAD, civil design tools) and strong skills in MS Office for reports and documentation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and site coordination skills, with attention to detail and safety.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities, with experience collaborating in multicultural, fast-paced construction environments.
- Dubai Municipality G+1 Certification (Mandatory).
