Project Planning & Design
• Collaborate with Project Managers, clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements.
• Prepare detailed engineering designs and technical drawings using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant design software.
• Ensure all designs comply with applicable UAE codes, standards, and regulations.
• Deliver drawings in a timely manner to avoid construction delays.
Material Selection & Specifications
• Prepare technical specifications and BOQs (Bill of Quantities) based on project scope and cost estimates.
Structural Analysis & Site Assessment
• Conduct site visits and surveys to assess project feasibility and site conditions.
• Perform structural analysis and calculations to ensure safety, durability, and compliance with environmental and load requirements.
Project Coordination & Site Integration
• Coordinate with project managers, clients, consultants, regulatory authorities, contractors, and subcontractors.
• Participate in project meetings to discuss design progress, challenges, and solutions.
• Provide technical support and respond to design-related queries during construction.
• Ensure proposed design changes align with site conditions and do not compromise safety, quality, or regulatory compliance.
• Establish an effective feedback loop between clients, site teams, and engineering departments.
Quality Control & Assurance
• Review and verify drawings, shop drawings, and materials for compliance with design specifications.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure adherence to approved standards and requirements.
Documentation & Reporting
• Prepare and maintain detailed design documents, reports, presentations, method statements, and correspondence.
• Maintain accurate records of design revisions, approvals, and project progress.
• Ensure all drawings and project data are properly stored and maintained in designated folders or network directories.
Client Interaction
• Present design proposals, revisions, and updates to clients and stakeholders.
• Address client feedback and implement approved changes efficiently.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
• Stay updated on industry trends, construction technologies, and best practices.
• Propose innovative and sustainable design solutions to improve efficiency and project outcomes.
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
• Integrate HSE considerations into design planning and execution.
• Ensure designs promote safe working environments and environmental sustainability.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
Key Outcomes & Deliverables
• Accurate and timely issuance of drawings to support uninterrupted construction progress.
• Effective communication of design changes and variations to site teams and stakeholders.
• Seamless integration of design plans into construction activities to minimize risk and optimize project delivery.
• Proper documentation and version control of all drawings, revisions, and approvals.
• Clear and professional coordination with clients and stakeholders regarding design modifications.
Required Skills & Software
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D(mandatory)
• Experience with other design or analysis software is an advantage
• Strong coordination, communication, and documentation skills
• Knowledge of UAE construction standards and regulations
• At least 3+ years experience as a "Civil Design Engineer" with valid driving license in UAE
Salary Range: AED 4,000–6,000, based on the candidate’s qualifications and experience.
