Manages the day-to-day operations of the servers by monitoring system performance, configuration and maintenance.
Provide first/second level support and works with vendors to assist support activities.

Analyzing application logs and identifying potential issues with servers.

Perform daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media as per the government entity’s Policy.
Data backup management, scheduling and reporting for both internal corporate systems and data center systems.
Perform demo restore, enduring all backed up data restore successfully.
Managing the Exchange’s electronic Signatures Management Software.
In GIS Application Adding, removing, or updating user account information, resetting passwords, etc.
Create, configure, and maintain GIS database, Care in the approved graphic models for the roads and transport sector.
Monitor and analyze GIS databases and data flow for efficiencies.
Oversees the day-to-day operations of data center, storages, servers, virtual infrastructure, backup, system performance, configuration, maintenance and repair.
Install new / rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements.
Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
Troubleshooting for all GIS Applications
Managing the Dashboard for geographic data and periodically checking its data flow.
Understanding road plans, CAD design files and converting them to GIS files.
Knowledge and application of linking mechanisms for geographic systems with other systems, whether inside or outside the Authority’s network.
Improving and developing using programming or features for geographic systems and applications to raise the efficiency of geographic systems.
Giving Suggestion/Consultation to enhance the government entity’s GIS Infrastructure performance and availability.
Handling New Project & Coordinate with Vendors / other Departments to launch the project on planned date/time in addition to managing current projects including changes, upgrades and maintenance contracts.
Doing whatever new requirement/task as per the government entity’s/ IT Manager request.
Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Urban Planning, or Computer Science or Civil Engineering.
Requires experience in using well-known GIS programs such as ESRI, knowledge of data and its types, data collection using navigation devices, database management systems (RDBMS), spatial analysis, and mapping
Minimum 3 years’ experience.
Proficiency in using GIS software, especially ESRI products such as ArcGIS Desktop and ArcGIS Server.
Ability to design and manage spatial databases using systems such as SQL Server and Oracle.
Experience in developing web solutions using platforms such as Google Earth and Bing Maps
Qualifications and experience in the roads and transportation sector in particular are preferred.

Pay: AED7,000.00 – AED10,000.00 per month
