One of the prominent groups in the GCC with operations across the region is now looking to hire the Chief of Staff. The role encompasses the coordination and administration of shared services across various departments within the company.

The ideal candidate needs to have a strong background and a min. of 10 years’ experience in UAE with a proven track record in managing complex, global operations with multiple subsidiaries. Extensive experience in Administration, Financial management, strategic planning, and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities:

– Partner closely with internal leadership to fully understand departmental needs, ensuring centralized support functions are aligned with broader business objectives.

– Oversee the delivery of internal support services, focusing on optimizing efficiency, maintaining high service standards, and ensuring compliance with internal guidelines and external regulations.

– Continuously evaluate and enhance internal workflows and processes, introducing improvements and industry-aligned best practices to boost overall effectiveness.

– Build and manage relationships with third-party vendors, negotiating favourable terms and ensuring services delivered are both cost-efficient and high quality.

– Manage the financial planning and spending for centralized support units, ensuring all costs remain within approved budgets.

– Define and track performance metrics for internal support teams, monitoring progress regularly and implementing improvements when performance falls short.

– Ensure all support functions operate in line with applicable compliance standards, company protocols, and regulatory frameworks.

– Work closely with technology teams to implement tools and systems that support and streamline shared services, ensuring solutions are fit-for-purpose and meet operational goals.

Key requirements:

– Understanding of technology solutions, digital transformation.

– A strong analytical ability and problem-solving acumen for identifying and resolving operational issues.

– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with both internal and external parties.

– Skilled in risk mitigation, particularly in identifying and reducing risks tied to shared services operations.

– Strategic thinker with a knack for devising innovative approaches to improve shared services.

– Proficient in project management techniques, able to spearhead initiatives and achieve objectives.

– Well-versed in the relevant regulatory and compliance standards

– Decisive and adept at solving problems efficiently

Qualifications required:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Finance, Accounting or equivalent

MBA or equivalent from a premier institute is strongly preferred.
