Black & Grey HR has partnered with a premier real estate development company in KSA. Our client is seeking a seasoned Chief Legal Officer (CLO) to oversee and manage all legal aspects of the organization. Thisstrategic leadershiprole involves providing expert legal guidance on corporate governance, compliance, contracts, intellectual property, litigation, and public policy matters. The CLO ensures the organization operates within legal frameworks, counsels on legal rights and obligations, and drivesethical practiceswhile mitigating risks.
The ideal candidate is aforward-thinkinglegal professional with a strong track record ofleadership, exceptionalanalytical skills, and the ability to navigate complex legal landscapes in adynamicandfast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide executiveleadershipand direction on all legal matters, including contracts, compliance, litigation, and corporate governance.
Represent the organization’s legal interests in dealings with external stakeholders, regulators, and legal authorities.
Develop and implement policies and procedures to manage legal risks, ensureethical practices, and upholdregulatory compliance.
Draft, review, and negotiate a broad spectrum of legal documents and contracts with clients, partners, suppliers, and employees.
Monitor and adapt to changes in laws and regulations, recommending proactive strategies to address emerging legal challenges.
Guide corporate governance practices, ensuring statutory andregulatory compliance, and advise on corporate secretarial functions.
Collaborate with the board of directors andsenior leadershipto assess the legal implications of corporate strategies and decisions.
Lead, mentor, and manage the legal team, fostering a high-performance culture and promotingprofessional development.
Oversee litigation matters, manage external legal resources, and develop cost-effective strategies for dispute resolution.
Requirements:
Master’s degree in Law (LLM or equivalent) is required.
At least 9 years of legal experience, including significant time in aleadershiprole, preferably within a corporate legal department.
In-depth knowledge of the Real Estate sector, including industry-specific laws and regulations.
Proven expertise in contract management,risk assessment, compliance, and legal negotiations.
Exceptional interpersonal andcommunication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively across all levels of the organization.
Strong organizational and decision-making abilities, with a strategic mindset to drive business goals through legal insight.
