Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced, strategic, and commercially driven Chief Finance Officer (CFO) to lead the company’s finance, treasury, commercial finance, risk, compliance, and financial planning functions.

The ideal candidate must have a strong background in construction, contracting or high-end interior fit-out, with extensive knowledge of the Saudi Arabian market. The CFO will work closely with the Finance Manager, Managing Director, Procurement, and Project teams to improve profitability, cash flow, financial controls, and sustainable business growth.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Financial Leadership

  • Develop and execute the company’s financial strategy, budgets, forecasts, and long-term business plans.
  • Advise the finance manager and Board on profitability, investments, expansion, financing, and business risks.
  • Establish financial KPIs and ensure strong financial discipline across the organization.

2. Project Finance & Cost Control

  • Monitor project budgets, revenue, gross margins, Cost-to-Complete (CTC), and Estimate-at-Completion (EAC).
  • Identify margin erosion, cost overruns, and financial risks at an early stage.
  • Review tender pricing and provide financial and commercial risk assessment before contract award.
  • Work closely with Project and Commercial teams on variations, claims, FIDIC contracts, and final accounts.

3. Cash Flow & Working Capital

  • Manage company-wide cash flow, working capital, collections, and liquidity.
  • Ensure timely milestone invoicing, certification, and collection from clients.
  • Monitor receivables, overdue payments, advances, and client retentions.
  • Manage supplier and subcontractor payment cycles while protecting project delivery and company liquidity.

4. Banking & Treasury

  • Maintain strong relationships with Saudi banks and financial institutions.
  • Manage credit facilities, overdrafts, project finance, LCs, performance bonds, advance-payment guarantees, and other banking facilities.
  • Optimize financing costs and ensure adequate banking capacity for project execution and business growth.

5. KSA Tax, Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure compliance with ZATCA, VAT, Zakat, e-invoicing, GOSI, Saudization/Nitaqat, and applicable Saudi regulations.
  • Ensure financial reporting complies with IFRS.
  • Lead internal and external audits and maintain strong internal controls and risk-management procedures.

6. Financial Reporting & Management Information

  • Prepare accurate monthly management accounts, financial dashboards, cash-flow forecasts, and Board reports.
  • Monitor revenue, EBITDA, project margins, backlog, receivables, working capital, and financial performance.
  • Provide clear recommendations and corrective actions to senior management.

7. Odoo ERP & Digital Transformation

  • Strong hands-on experience with Odoo ERP is mandatory.
  • Experience in Odoo Finance/Accounting, Projects, Procurement, Inventory, Sales, and reporting modules is highly preferred.
  • Lead Odoo implementation, optimization, integration, and financial reporting improvements.
  • Ensure Finance, Procurement, Projects, Contracts, Inventory, and Operations are effectively integrated through Odoo.

8. Leadership

  • Lead and develop the Finance, Accounting, Treasury, Tax, and Commercial Finance teams.
  • Establish strong financial policies, procedures, approval controls, and performance standards.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or Civil/Construction Engineering with a strong business focus.
  • MBA is highly preferred.
  • Active professional certification mandatory – CPA, CMA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 20 years of overall professional experience.
  • Minimum 7–10 years in a CFO, Finance Director, Group Finance Director, or equivalent senior leadership position.
  • Strong experience in construction, civil contracting or high-end interior fit-out, MEP, or project-based businesses.
  • Extensive knowledge of the KSA market, Saudi banking, procurement practices, ZATCA, and FIDIC contract frameworks.
  • Proven experience managing project profitability, working capital, cash flow, claims, variations, and commercial risks.
  • Odoo ERP experience is mandatory, preferably with implementation and optimization experience.
  • Excellent written and spoken English; Arabic is highly preferred.
