We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Accountant to join our finance team in Madinah, Saudi Arabia. As the Chief Accountant, you will play a crucial role in overseeing our organization’s financial operations, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and driving financial excellence.
Lead and manage the daily operations of the accounting department, including supervision of staff accountants and financial analysts
Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, reports, and forecasts
Ensure compliance with Saudi Arabian financial regulations, IFRS, and company policies
Develop and implement robust internal financial controls and procedures
Coordinate with external auditors and manage the annual audit process
Prepare and monitor budgets, conduct financial forecasting, and provide strategic financial insights to senior management
Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes
Implement and maintain accounting systems and software to improve efficiency and accuracy
Provide financial guidance and support to other departments within the organization
Stay updated on changes in financial regulations and accounting standards, ensuring the organization’s practices remain compliant
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field;
Master’s degree preferred
Professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) required
Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in accounting, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
In-depth knowledge of Saudi Arabian financial regulations, IFRS, and US GAAP
Strong proficiency in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and audit processes
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
Proven leadership abilities and experience managing a team of accounting professionals
Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management
Fluency in English and Arabic, both written and spoken
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated integrity, ethical standards, and confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information
