Chess Coach – Part-time Jobs in Doha at SWIFT Trading and Contracting
We’re seeking a skilled Chess Coach for children aged 6–18 in Doha. The ideal candidate understands both the chess ecosystem and Qatar’s local chess scene, supporting expat families who want serious, structured chess development for their kids.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver tailored one-on-one and small group sessions (online and in-person)
- Build personalized improvement roadmaps and track progress for each student
- Prepare students for tournaments and events
- Conduct regular game analysis and assign homework via Chess.com, Lichess, or ChessBase
- Communicate progress clearly and regularly with parents, and guide tournament selection
Qualifications
- FIDE rating 1800+ (titled players — CM, FM, IM, GM — strongly preferred)
- 2+ years coaching children; Gulf or expat experience a plus
- Fluent in English
- FIDE Trainer or Instructor title preferred
Compensation
Per-session or monthly retainer, flexible hybrid schedule, and room to grow within a thriving Doha expat community.
