We are looking for an experienced and passionate Chef to join our team in Abu-Dhabi. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the culinary field and a passion for creating innovative and delicious dishes. The Chef will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen, from menu planning, recipe development, food preparation, staff training, and quality assurance.
The successful candidate will have a strong knowledge of food production methods, sanitary standards, and a commitment to ensuring customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Develop creative recipes that adhere to our standards of flavor and presentation
- Create menus based on seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
- Ensure that all dishes are prepared with the highest quality ingredients in accordance with company guidelines
- Supervise and train kitchen staff on food preparation techniques while maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment
- Monitor food inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and maintain accurate records of orders placed
- Manage portion control to minimize waste while ensuring customer satisfaction
- Oversee kitchen operations during meal services to ensure dishes are served in a timely manner with the highest quality standards
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience working as a Chef or similar professional position in the culinary industry
- Proven ability to create innovative recipes with an emphasis on taste, presentation, and cost control
- Knowledgeable about local cuisine trends and techniques as well as international cuisine styles
- Expert knife skills preferred
- Strong leadership skills with ability to motivate staff members
- Excellent communication skills
- Food Safety Certification required
- Ability to work long hours while standing
- Willingness to learn new recipes or techniques when necessary
- Ability to work both independently or collaboratively within a team environment
