Job Summary
A Chef de Partie will maintain high standards of dessert food preparation and service in the kitchens according to management requirements.
Responsibilities
- Reflect the Shangri La philosophy by providing the highest quality of service to guests and maintaining a positive attitude and strong team spirit.
- Coordinate restaurant, banquet, and food production details while supervising employees under your supervision.
- Ensure food freshness, presentation, and temperature meet the required standards.
- Control portioning, serving requisition, and inventory from stores.
- Maintain correct timing during service to ensure food is served to the highest standards.
- Check the quality of food prepared for taste and temperature.
- Insist on a uniform visual appearance of all dishes; prepare presentation and garnish according to standards.
- Monitor and fully implement portion control established with recipe cards and butcher tests, minimizing waste and spoilage.
Qualifications
- Minimum of two years experience in a similar capacity.
- Strong English language skills.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Display initiative and creativity.
