Chef de Cuisine – Japanese Restaurant Jobs in Doha, Qatar at Park Hyatt Doha

We are in search of a highly experienced and exceptionally skilled Chef de Cuisine, specializing in the art of Japanese kitchen. The position entails the duty of supervising and managing all aspects of the operations within the restaurant, ensuring the delivery of exceptional dishes, and maintaining a positive work environment. You will collaborate with the Executive Sous Chef to develop menus, supervise kitchen operations, and ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards.

The ideal candidate should have extensive knowledge of Japanese cuisine, strong leadership skills, and a passion for creating exquisite and authentic dishes.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Chef de Cuisine or Head Chef specializing in Japanese cuisine in a luxury hotel or high-end restaurant.

Extensive knowledge and expertise in Japanese culinary techniques, ingredients, and flavors.

Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team, while maintaining a positive work environment.

Excellent culinary skills, with a creative approach to menu development and presentation.

Attention to detail and the ability to maintain high-quality standards in a fast-paced environment.

In-depth understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations, with a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe kitchen.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, suppliers, and vendors.

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required in a dynamic culinary environment.

A culinary degree or relevant certification is required, along with additional training in Japanese cuisine.
