Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior CNC Service Engineer with extensive experience in servicing a wide range of CNC machines, particularly machine tools, as well as plasma cutting, laser cutting, routers, and other CNC systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in electrical, automation, and mechanical systems, with the ability to lead retrofitting projects and ensure high machine performance and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide expert service, maintenance, and troubleshooting for machine tools, plasma cutting, laser cutting, routers, and other CNC machines.
Diagnose and resolve complex electrical, automation, and mechanical issues.
Plan, manage, and execute retrofitting projects to upgrade and modernize older CNC systems.
Provide on-site technical support and training for clients.
Mentor and guide junior engineers and technicians.
Develop solutions to enhance machine performance, increase efficiency, and reduce downtime.
Maintain accurate service records and document retrofitting and technical solutions.
Serve as the primary technical point of contact for clients, ensuring satisfaction and high performance.
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of experience as a CNC Service Engineer, with expertise in machine tools and other CNC systems (plasma cutting, laser cutting, routers).
Extensive experience in retrofitting CNC systems, including electrical, automation, and control systems.
Strong knowledge of CNC controls, electrical schematics, and automation.
Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
Experience managing and leading retrofitting projects from planning to implementation.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Degree or certification in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related fields.
Experience with CNC programming and advanced machine diagnostics tools.
Familiarity with CAD/CAM software for retrofitting and machine upgrades.
