Reporting ToYour Role And Responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to implement the defined channel sales strategy in specified market scope (global/regional) in an effective manner to improve ABB’s market penetration and achieve its growth aspirations in the assigned channel. Each day, you will execute channel sales strategies and initiatives within the assigned market, to achieve both qualitative and quantitative targets for the assigned channel, in a profitable way with a focus on orders, revenues, growth, margin, market share, sales productivity, and customer satisfaction.

You will also showcase your expertise by acting as a critical contributor to the sales customer base growth for the assigned channel.

  • Implement the channel sales strategy – set sales targets, business plans and monitor partner performance (revenue, mix)
  • Identify, onboard, and develop high‑performing channel partners across UAE and the broader region.
  • Drive partner capability in technical selling, stock management, and market coverage.
  • Ensure availability and visibility of key motor ranges through partners.
  • Develop and manage relationships with key OEMs (pump manufacturers, compressors, HVAC system integrators, etc.).
  • Lead commercial negotiations and ensure profitable deal closures.
  • Creating offers and proposals for channel partners & OEMs; provide pre‑sales technical support for motor selection and application engineering; collaborate with internal teams (product, factories, logistics) for timely execution.
  • Identify & hunt opportunities in growth segments and emerging applications in alignment with the division strategy for LV Motors (pricing, positioning, channel model).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical/mechanical engineering or equivalent.
  • 5–10 years of sales experience in Low Voltage Motors, pumps, or related industrial products.
  • Proven experience in channel sales and OEM engagement in UAE or GCC.
  • Strong understanding of industrial applications (pumps, HVAC, compressors, etc.).
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
  • Technical understanding of motor applications and energy efficiency standards.
  • Relationship management with distributors and OEMs.
  • Strategic thinking with execution focus.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
