The Parasailing Captain Expert is responsible for the safe operation of the parasailing vessel and the overall execution of parasailing activities. The Captain ensures the safety of passengers, crew members, and equipment while delivering a professional and enjoyable customer experience. The role requires compliance with all UAE maritime regulations, company policies, and international safety standards.
Key Responsibilities1. Vessel Operation
- Safely operate the parasailing boat during all activities.
- Conduct pre-departure and post-operation inspections of the vessel.
- Ensure the vessel is maintained in seaworthy condition.
- Monitor weather, sea conditions, and wind speeds before and during operations.
- Navigate safely in accordance with local maritime regulations.
2. Parasailing Operations
- Supervise all launching, towing, and landing procedures.
- Ensure passengers are correctly fitted with harnesses, life jackets, and safety equipment.
- Verify that all parasailing equipment is inspected before each flight.
- Monitor towline tension and flight stability throughout the operation.
- Immediately suspend operations if weather or sea conditions become unsafe.
3. Safety Management
- Enforce all company safety policies and operational procedures.
- Conduct passenger safety briefings before every flight.
- Maintain emergency readiness at all times.
- Respond effectively to emergency situations, including equipment failure, man-overboard incidents, or sudden weather changes.
- Report accidents, incidents, and near misses promptly.
4. Equipment Inspection & Maintenance
- Perform daily inspections of:
- Parasail canopy
- Tow ropes
- Winch system
- Harnesses
- Carabiners
- Safety gear
- Vessel machinery
- Report any defects immediately.
- Coordinate routine maintenance and repairs.
- Maintain equipment inspection records.
5. Customer Service
- Welcome and assist guests professionally.
- Ensure customers understand all safety instructions.
- Maintain a calm and reassuring attitude.
- Handle customer concerns courteously and professionally.
- Promote a positive and memorable guest experience.
6. Documentation
- Complete daily operational logs.
- Maintain maintenance and inspection records.
- Record weather conditions and operational hours.
- Prepare incident and accident reports when required.
- Ensure all licenses and certifications remain valid.
7. Compliance
- Comply with UAE Maritime Authority regulations and Coast Guard requirements.
- Follow company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the vessel and equipment.
- Participate in safety drills and ongoing training.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Captain’s License recognized by the UAE authorities.
- Valid marine first aid and CPR certification.
- Experience operating parasailing vessels.
- Strong knowledge of marine navigation and seamanship.
- Familiarity with parasailing equipment and towing systems.
- Good command of spoken and written English (Arabic is an advantage).
- Physically fit and capable of working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Pay: AED4,500.00 – AED5,500.00 per month
