Chief Executive Officer (CEO) – Real Estate Development
Reports To: Board of Directors
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is responsible for the strategic leadership, financial performance, and overall operations of the real estate development company. The CEO will oversee site acquisition, project planning, financing, construction, and sales or leasing of residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments. This role requires a visionary leader with extensive experience in real estate, strong financial acumen, and the ability to drive large-scale projects from concept to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Business Growth:
• Develop and implement the company’s strategic vision, mission, and long-term growth plans.
• Identify new development opportunities and expand the company’s real estate portfolio.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with investors, financial institutions, partners, and stakeholders.
• Monitor industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes to stay ahead of the competition.
Real Estate Development & Project Management:
• Oversee site selection, due diligence, and land acquisition processes.
• Direct project feasibility analysis, budgeting, and risk assessment.
• Approve design and construction plans, ensuring projects align with quality standards and timelines.
• Work with architects, contractors, engineers, and urban planners to deliver high-quality developments.
• Ensure compliance with zoning laws, building codes, and environmental regulations.
Financial Management & Investment Oversight:
• Secure project financing, manage capital allocation, and optimize profitability.
• Develop and oversee budgets, financial forecasts, and ROI analysis.
• Evaluate and manage joint ventures, partnerships, and funding opportunities.
• Maximize asset value through strategic leasing, sales, and property management.
Operational Leadership & Team Management:
• Lead and mentor a team of executives and department heads across finance, construction, legal, and sales.
• Establish and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance efficiency.
• Foster a company culture of innovation, collaboration, and high performance.
• Ensure compliance with legal, financial, and corporate governance requirements.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Business, Finance, Architecture, or a related field (MBA or Master’s preferred).
• 10+ years of experience in real estate development, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven track record in managing large-scale commercial, residential, or mixed-use developments.
• Strong financial acumen and experience securing project financing.
• Extensive knowledge of zoning laws, entitlements, construction, and property management.
• Excellent negotiation, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and mitigate project risks.
