Role Purpose:
The Purchasing Engineer is responsible for efficiently sourcing, evaluating, and purchasing materials to support the organization’s operational and project requirements. This role ensures timely acquisition while maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders. The Purchasing Engineer plays a key role in optimizing purchasing processes, negotiating supplier terms, and supporting engineering teams in selecting suitable materials to meet customer requirements and project timelines.
Key accountabilities:
Sending enquiries and follow up to overseas suppliers on timely manner.
Closing all enquiries in 1 working day.
Maintaining a report of all supplier’s response time per enquiry for monthly supplier’s evaluation.
Looking for alternative products for items quoted to customers with lead time from our stock.
Sourcing products to meet the delivery time required by the customers based on input from purchasing team.
Collaborate with engineering teams to identify purchasing requirements for projects.
Negotiate the terms and pricing with suppliers to secure favorable terms and ensure alignment with project requirements and budget constraints.
Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, and internal stakeholders to streamline purchasing process & operations.
Assist with general purchasing activities whenever required.
Other responsibilities:
Perform other duties related to purchasing and logistics and replace colleagues as required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED5,000.00 – AED7,000.00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
Sharjah: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
