The Category Manager at LAWAZEM will play a pivotal role in overseeing the development and execution of category strategies to maximize sales and profitability. This position requires a strategic thinker with an analytical mindset, capable of identifying market trends and optimizing product assortments to meet customer demands.

Key Responsibilities:
Category Strategy Development:
Develop and implement comprehensive category strategies that align with the overall business goals and drive growth
Analyze market trends, customer preferences, and competitive dynamics to inform strategic decisions
Product Management:
Curate an attractive and competitive product assortment that maximizes sales while minimizing costs
Conduct regular performance reviews of product lines and implement necessary changes to enhance profitability
Vendor Relations:
Establish and maintain excellent relationships with vendors and suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and contracts
Evaluate vendor performance based on key performance indicators, including delivery, quality, and service levels
Inventory and Supply Chain Management:
Collaborate with supply chain teams to manage inventory levels, ensuring optimal stock availability and minimizing disruptions
Utilize forecasting tools and data to predict customer demand and drive inventory decisions
Promotion and Marketing:
Work with marketing teams to create and execute marketing plans and promotions that enhance brand visibility and drive sales
Monitor and assess the impact of promotional activities and adjust strategies based on performance data
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; a master’s degree is a plus
Minimum of 5 years of experience in category management or a similar position, ideally within a retail or e-commerce environment
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with a proven ability to build relationships with stakeholders
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects effectively
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with category management software
