Job Summary & Purpose :
To lead, monitor and report on Category performance and make recommendations on product range, pricing and in-store promotions which drive sales, market share and total income.
Key Performance Areas (KPAs) & Principal Accountabilities :
· Key Performance Areas (KPAs) & Principal Accountabilities
· Work closely with DGM – Merchandising to monitor top and bottom line targets and sales plans to ensure KPIs/targets are achieved on time and within budget
· Ensure category targets are met and opportunities for improvements and explored and implemented.
· Planning & coordinating Sales and income of Events
· Monitoring performance of sales and income based on target and presenting the findings to the Merchandising Manager & Category managers
· Launching Incentives for across all departments & reconciling with finance. (As per time lines defined). Sales & Income reconciliation with finance: To ensure timely closer of financial MIS.
· Weekly/Daily/Monthly MIS & other reports: Analysis & Presentation (As per defined Time lines)
· Data mining & diagnostic of various elements across Category & presenting the report to Merchandising manager. Coordinating with various departments viz, IT, Finance, Merchandising and Marketing. To upgrade the MIS & reporting system.
· New Initiative: Coordinate the launch of new initiative & monitor the implementation through structures MIS. Present the findings to the Merchandising Manager/ Category Managers.
Qualitative Requirements
Skills & Abilities
Expert working knowledge of Excel and good working knowledge of MS office packages Knowledge of accounting software packages, preferably ERP such as SAP
