Job Title: Procurement Engineer – Glass Industry
Location: Dubai
Department: Procurement
Key Responsibilities:
Supplier Management: Identify and evaluate suppliers of raw materials (such as silica sand, soda ash, lime, and other chemicals) and equipment needed for glass production.
Contract Negotiation: Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers, including pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms.
Material Sourcing: Procure high-quality raw materials and ensure they meet the required specifications for glass production processes.
Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, manage inventory control, and work with production teams to forecast material needs based on production schedules.
Qualifications & Skills:
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Experience: 3-5 years of experience in procurement, with a preference for experience in the glass or manufacturing industry.
Technical Knowledge: Understanding of glass production processes, raw materials, and industrial equipment.
Negotiation Skills: Strong skills in negotiating contracts, terms, and prices with suppliers.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with suppliers, internal teams, and senior management.
Problem-Solving Abilities: Proactive approach to identifying and resolving supply chain issues.
