- Processing Transactions:
- Accurately handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions.
- Issue receipts and manage cash registers or point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Customer Service:
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their orders.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints.
- Order Management:
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Communicate orders to the kitchen staff if applicable.
- Maintaining Cleanliness:
- Keep the cashier area clean and organized.
- Ensure that the dining area or front counter is tidy and presentable.
- Stock Management:
- Monitor inventory levels of cash register supplies (like paper rolls) and notify management when supplies are low.
- Occasionally assist in stocking items or supplies in the dining area.
- Ending Shift Duties:
- Balance cash drawers at the end of shifts and prepare cash deposits.
- Report discrepancies or issues with cash handling to management.
