Job Description
German Printing Press (GPP) is hiring an experienced Machine Operator for our Carton Erecting Machine ZX-1200. GPP specializes in food-grade packaging including paper bags, cups, containers, and custom printed cartons.
Responsibilities
- Operate the ZX-1200 carton erecting machine to meet daily production targets
- Set up the machine and perform changeovers based on job orders
- Load materials, monitor glue application, and ensure consistent output quality
- Carry out routine maintenance, cleaning, and lubrication
- Identify and troubleshoot minor mechanical or operational issues
- Perform quality checks on finished cartons and reject defective units
- Maintain production, downtime, and material usage records
- Follow safety, hygiene, and food-grade handling procedures
Requirements
- 2+ years of hands-on experience operating carton erecting or packaging machinery
- Experience with ZX-1200 or similar models preferred
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read job cards and production specifications
- Willing to work in shifts, including weekends when required
- Basic English communication; Hindi/Malayalam/Urdu is a plus
- Physically fit for machine-side production work
