Role Description
This full-time Carpenter role is an on‑site position based in Sharjah Emirate, United Arab Emirates. The Carpenter will interpret drawings and measurements to cut, shape, and assemble wooden structures such as frameworks, partitions, doors, and cabinets. Daily tasks include installing and repairing fixtures, fitting and aligning doors and windows, and ensuring finishes meet project standards and safety regulations. The role involves using hand and power tools, selecting appropriate materials, maintaining a clean and safe work area, and collaborating with supervisors and other trades to complete construction and maintenance projects on schedule.
Qualifications
- Strong practical carpentry skills, including measuring, cutting, assembling, and installing wooden structures and fixtures.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools, understanding of materials and hardware, and ability to follow technical drawings and blueprints.
- Knowledge of construction site safety practices, local building standards, and quality workmanship requirements.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, follow instructions, and communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues.
- Previous experience as a Carpenter in construction or related industries; experience in civil, mechanical, or oil & gas projects is an advantage.
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks, stand for extended periods, and lift materials as required.
- High school education or vocational training in carpentry or a related trade preferred.
- Willingness to work on‑site in Sharjah Emirate and adhere to company policies and safety guidelines.
